Motivational Tips
Q: I am a first year Middle School Band Director and trying to find ways to motivate my students to practice. Ive been using practice cards, but feel that the ones who turn them in would have practiced anyway and the others either dont turn them in or lie on them. Does anyone have any motivational tips to get students to practice?
A: Try using weekly playing test for chair placement and grade. I find that this motivates middle school kids very well.
