NCMEA In-Service Conference

NCMEA, the North Carolina Music Educators Association, will host its Annual In-Service Conference November 12-15 at the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem. Executive Director Reta Phifer, President David Albert, and the leadership members of the organization have made great strides in making this year's conference beneficial as a learning tool for all members.

The conference provides opportunities for music instructors around the state to participate in concerts and sessions designed specifically for their specialized area of music education. Additionally, educators will be exposed to an exhibit room filled with information from music education business partners offering material and examples of their products, including music software, fundraising, camps, travel and festivals, colleges and universities, and more!

This year, teacher certification renewal credits - certificates of participation - are available for those attending. There is a list of 180 approved sessions to choose from in all areas of music education. In order to receive credits, teachers must request approval from their school system (LEA) prior to attending the conference and while at the conference, complete the session log.
